We’re excited to see that the aircraft carrying the Olympic Flame has taken off and is on it’s way to England for the 2012 London Olympics.
You can track the flight live on planefinder.net flight tracker website here – http://planefinder.net/flight/BAW2012 and in the Plane Finder apps.

The flight number is BA2012 with callsign BAW2012. The aircraft has been recently given a new golden livery and is named Firefly.
The flight from Athens International Airport has been given special permission to carry the flame.
The plane is an Airbus A319-131 with registration/tail number G-EUPC.
Dignitaries accompanying the torch include HRH Princess Anne, Lord Coe, David Beckham and some specially chosen school children.
Flight BA2012 will land at around 19:30 local time at RNAS Culdrose in Cornwall.
On Saturday a helicopter will then fly the flame down to Lands End from where it will begin it’s 70 day torch relay to London.
The torch will then light the Olympic Stadium flame on July 27 2012.
For those interested engineers spent nine days and used 250 litres of gold, white and four shades of yellow paint to decorate the plane!
