Yesterday (January 16th) Singapore airlines retired the traditional Boeing 747 making the daily trip from Singapore to New York via Frankfurt. The new service is using Singapore Airlines’ new A380 fleet and the first flight was performed by 9V-SKK. Currently Singapore Airlines have 15 super jumbos in their fleet with another 4 on order!
This particular aircraft boasts unique double private cabins that include a double bed with 1000’s of movies on a 23 inch movie screen, champagne and all luxuries you can imagine.
Singapore Airlines are the fourth airline to fly the A380 into JFK now and join Lufthansa, Emirates, Air France and Korean Air in regular scheduled services.
We caught this flight flying into JFK last night and it will soon become a regular sight into JFK on planefinder.net
