The Olympic flame is once more flying first class on Firefly” – the specially painted British Airways ” A319 aircraft.

At 07:22 this morning the Olympic Flame left the mainland and flew to Guernsey.

We tracked the flight, Callsign BAW2012 (Flight Number BA2102), on Plane Finder:

During today’s long distance relay the Olympic Flame will board Firefly twice more.

The torch will next be flown between Guernsey and Jersey – scheduled to land at 12:07.

The aircraft will then leave the Channel Islands and is expected to land back at Southampton Airport at 15:20.

From Southampton the Olympic Torch will be carried through Fareham and Gosport.

It will then board the Gosport Ferry for Portsmouth with an expected arrival time of 18:05.
