Over the weekend a Lion Air Boeing 737 crashed just short of the runway in Bali.  At the time we covered the event just after it happened.

This was a brand new Aircraft delivered last month direct from Boeing in Seattle.

Here at planefinder.net we have a vast network of receivers and tracked the aircraft into its final minutes before ditching.  Using Google Earth we can produce some nice visualisations and share with you the final data points which show it didn’t even make the beginning of the runway.
