Seattle February 28 2012 – The first Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental has been delivered to Qatar Amiri Flight today.
The aircraft, tail number A7-HHE, left Paine Field in Everett Washington at midday PST and is probably going to Hamburg to be fitted out.
We saw the aircraft here on Plane Finder:
The 747-8 is the latest generation of the Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet. The Intercontinental has a longer fuselage, redesigned wings and improved efficiency.
This is the largest 747 version to date and the largest commercial aircraft built in the United States.
The 747-8 is also the longest passenger aircraft in the world!
It is expected that the first three 747-8 Intercontinental aircraft will all be supplied to Qatar.
Boeing has already commenced deliveries of the freighter version too – the 747-8F.
It’s wonderful to be tracking these exciting new aircraft in Plane Finder.
If you have any 747-8 photos we’d love to see them onĀ pinkfroot.com
