Boeing has just released a video showing their new robotic painters in action.

Boeing Robotic Painters

The new robots have replaced over 35 human painters and have sped up a process that used to take hours and now takes minutes.

The wings also no longer have to be moved during painting as the robots can move in ways that people just can’t!

Boeing 777’s

Boeing are rolling out 777s at the rate of one every 3-4 days. It’s likely to be only a matter of time before the technology finds it’s way to all model types.

Airlines are also reported to be interested in the time and money saving robotic painters.

Illinois One

We’re not yet sure if this makes new designs possible, or easier to do – we already see stunning aircraft liveries around the world like the Southwest “Illinois One” below!
