The vessel ran aground at 13:45 GMT Wednesday in gusty conditions. Last night’s attempt to re-float the ro-ro vessel failed.

A new attempt is planned for today. All crew are reported to be safe and the ships position has been secured by tugs.

Ciudad de Cadiz is one of three vessels used to transport the UK manufactured Airbus A380 wings to France.
Here on Planefinder.net we also regularly track the flights of the amazing Beluga aircraft operated by Airbus to transport parts between the airport at Broughton and the Airbus assembly lines.
